Sri Surya Guest Inn By OYO Rooms

There is plenty of parking, and the OYO hotel is right off the Highway beside a petrol pump. We arrived around 1am on our Chennai to Vijayawada trip and the staff still welcomed us warmly. The interior looked good, but the room had a lot of mosquitoes. In room no 229, the bathroom light didn't work and the taps were rusty. The towels and bedsheets were very old, and I noticed blood stains on them and the pillows, possibly from mosquitoes killed by previous guests.

The attached petrol pump is excellent, and the location is something I'd recommend. The stay itself was disappointing. Agoda showed a room for ₹800, but my card was charged more than ₹1,200, with hidden and dollar charges. The booking choices suggested either two beds or one double bed, but in practice I got a double bed. Agoda rooms are the smallest, even though they cost at least ₹300 more. They don't send an OTP because the payment gateway is outside India and charges in dollars. The TV had no regular channels, the toilet was dirty with yellow marks, and nobody changed the bedsheet. Breakfast cost extra and wasn't very good, with no tea or coffee. Staff attitude wasn't very hospitable either.

It's a bit away from the town centre, which made the area peaceful and good for relaxing. The rooms were awesome, and the staff were superb. The management welcomed us warmly and dealt with problems promptly. A place I'd highly recommend if you're visiting nellore. Good job!

The staff were good, and the room was a good size, though the water taps didn't work properly. There isn't an in-house restaurant, so you have to order through swiggy or zamato. The location is convenient on the NH 16, with a petrol pump and car care center nearby, and a police station and hospital not far away. Fine for a one-night stay.
