The location worked well, close to the action but still quiet enough to relax. The hotel has just been renovated, and everything looks fresh, stylish, and thoughtfully put together. My room was clean and comfortable, a nice place to unwind. The staff are new and still settling in, but they were warm, welcoming, and keen to help. I had a great stay, with a good blend of comfort, style, and hospitality. Definitely worth a visit.

I was disappointed by our five-day stay at Sol de Goa. I’d visited more than a decade ago and looked forward to coming back after seeing it described as newly renovated. The work was still happening in sections, though. There were cobwebs on the entry chandelier, dust on the wooden railings and furniture, and visible gaps around the unpolished room windows. Since there’s no phone in the room, any request means going to the front desk. Breakfast was mediocre and underwhelming. It filled us up, but the quality wasn’t there, and I didn’t see a hot kitchen. The pool also didn’t look like it was cleaned daily, so we chose not to use it. At checkout we were told to pay by cash or UPI because the card machine wasn’t working, or they may not have card payment facilities. The staff did their best to accommodate us. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked, and the shower had hot water. Still, the owner or management needs to take a serious look at maintaining the property and shouldn’t call it newly renovated until the work is actually finished.

Laxman, the hotel Manager, deserves special thanks for helping us and making the stay memorable for all of us. The staff were friendly and handled all our requests. The hotel is in a good location, and it was quiet around us, which made for a great stay. We had a really good time here.
