Mayem Lakeview

I booked three nights but left after just one. The rooms smelled like toilets, and they didn't even provide bottled water or other basic amenities. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We were packing to check out the next day from room B/12 at the "Mayem Lake View" hotel in Goa when I accidentally left a shirt in the cupboard. There were ₹1200 and some cards in its pocket. The hotel called the following day after we had already crossed Goa, so going back wasn't possible. They told us the pocket had ₹700 in it. I was sure I'd left ₹1200, but asked them to send at least the ₹700 through Google Pay. They agreed, but I still haven't received anything. In my experience, you may not get belongings or money left behind at this hotel back. Check everything carefully before leaving. The staff was very bad.

The cottage looked shabby from the start, and I had a bad stay at Mayem Lake View. I booked two days because I had an important interview, but left after six hours. After waking from a nap, I had blisters all over my face and an allergic reaction. The bedsheet or mattress could have caused it. The peaceful scenery and surroundings were pleasant, but that's the only decent part, and you can find that elsewhere in Goa. Staff seemed able to do little beyond taking phone numbers and signatures. I wouldn't recommend it. I wasted 4k.

The lake is beautiful, and boating there was a great experience.
