Mermaid Resort

I paid a higher amount for a recent Goa trip booking at MERMAID RESORT, but honestly it didn't feel like a resort. The wooden cottage was broken and smelled bad, with a broken gate, no waiting or lounging area, a clogged sink, and a broken almeera. There was no TV in the cottage. Rats, mosquitoes, and insects were all over the property. When I asked for Wi-Fi so I could email MMT, they refused. They also pressured me to cancel the booking so I could get a cheaper deal directly. Attached supporting media.

That was the worst washroom I've ever seen. The prices may be low, but please show customers the actual photos and let us decide whether to come. The pictures look good, but the place was awful in reality. Don't treat customers this way.

I went based on the Google photos, but the pictures were old. The wooden rooms had lots of problems, there was no room service, and rats ate our food at night. It was a third-class experience. I'd say don't visit this place.

The bathroom was awful, smelling so strongly of rat urine that I couldn't go near it. The room was filthy, with rat droppings and an unbearable smell. The rats had damaged the pillows too. Taps were broken, the AC didn't work, the sheets looked unchanged for a long time, and the table was dirty. When I asked the manager to deal with the situation, he only sprayed air freshener, which didn't help, and he was no help otherwise either. I stayed at Mermaid resort in March 2025, and it was the most disappointing hotel stay I've had. We booked online but were charged extra on arrival, and the manager wouldn't return the difference or waive the full charges despite the condition of the room. The lack of cleanliness and poor customer service made the whole stay a disaster. I'd advise anyone considering Mermaid resort to stay elsewhere.
