Pinto Rosario Square Resort and Spa

This was an unclean, bitter, unhappy stay, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend the hotel. It’s far from the beaches and main spots, tucked away deep in what feels like a forest. The food is expensive and portions are very small, and room service doesn’t clean the rooms every day. From check-in onward, the experience was awful. There wasn’t a proper water supply or Wi-Fi, and the manager and staff were arrogant and didn’t seem to care about kids or women, leaving them waiting for hours before check-in. They focused on money and rules without showing basic humanity, and acted as if they were giving rooms away for free. No greetings, welcome, or smiles, which is terrible for a hospitality business. When we complained about something that wasn’t working, they got angry.

The villas are well kept, the location is beautiful, and the place is well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful, and it’s a good option for families or groups. The air conditioning works brilliantly. Housekeeping needs attention, though. On the third day, the bed linen still hadn’t been changed. They just dusted it and put the same linen back. I had to tell the housekeeping guy, who argued that they change it every other day and didn’t even realise it was already day three. Cleaning wasn’t up to the mark, and the food menu needs more choices and larger portions.

The breakfast selection was good, and the quaint surroundings are pleasant. But after booking as soon as we saw the online photos, our excitement faded as soon as we arrived. The reception staff were cold, room service was poor, and we had to call repeatedly to get basics like toiletries and towels. They also asked for a security deposit that hadn’t been mentioned when we booked. When we asked why we hadn’t been told, they said our contact details were with the vendor and they couldn’t reach us. That didn’t seem like a legitimate explanation. If these things improve, it could be a good place to stay.

The villa had a magnificent view and felt peaceful, even in crowded Goa. Everything was just right for a couple wanting some time to themselves, with great hospitality and delicious food at reasonable prices. Thanks to the restaurant staff and John, who helped us rent a bike with a lovely smile. Everyone helped make our holiday special. I’ll always remember it. Cheers!
