The Pamposh

The breakfast was decent, with plenty of choices: boiled eggs, Parantha, pavbhaji, poori, Bathure, noodles, uthappam, masala dosa and omelette on order, two juices, a sweet, toast, sandwiches, muffins, cut papaya and watermelon, bananas, apples, coffee and tea. There was also some chicken snack. I liked the Chicken Tandoori a lot. Chicken starters and gravy dishes start at 400/-, and the food tastes good enough to me. I was happy with the service during my three-day booking, especially the help from Mr. Ashish at reception. My first room was a little dusty from some wall work, but after I told them, they changed it right away and brought the toiletries they’d left out, including a toothbrush, comb and slippers. I think issues can happen at any hotel; what matters is how they respond when you point them out, and The Pamposh handled it better than many other hotels.

Breakfast and the food were good, though the dinner I ordered wasn’t up to the mark. The room was neat and clean, but the fan made noise and the AC indicator was too bright and needed covering. On the second day room service didn’t bring water bottles, and there was no toothpaste or brush.

The counter staff went out of their way to arrange my bus ride to Amritsar and trips to other tourist spots. I was cycling around India and stayed here for a week, feeling very welcome and well looked after. Everyone was friendly, attentive, courteous and helpful. My room was clean, hygienic and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. There was a good range of tasty food to choose from too. I really enjoyed the stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The location felt safe and peaceful, and the whole stay went smoothly. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful. One of the best properties in the area. I’d definitely stay again.
