We felt unsafe and harassed here, which is unacceptable for any place to stay. There was no security or privacy, and the environment was extremely uncomfortable. This cottage is completely unsafe for women. The staff and owner were rude, arrogant, and disrespectful. Basic manners were missing, and they ignored our concerns instead of addressing them. Strong warning: do not book this cottage, especially if you’re a woman or traveling with family. It shouldn’t be listed at all.

A good place to stay in Ooty, with a clean, tidy room at an affordable price. mr.kumaran was very friendly and helpful, and I loved his hospitality.

The person was harsh and arrogant, talking as if he was everything. Very unprofessional. The worst part is there’s no parking, nothing.

The host’s food is splendid, definitely the best part, and I’d give it a 10. The rest gets a 7. It’s family friendly with a nice view from the cottage, though you’ll need to travel a little off-road. For the price, the rooms are small, so I wouldn’t recommend it for bachelors. We didn’t have Wi-Fi, and the water heater needs fixing.

The service from the staff was my favorite part of staying at Kumaran cottage. The main manager was polite and made sure we had everything, and the other staff were helpful too. Breakfast and dinner were free during our stay. The rooms were clean, and the photos I saw online were 100% true, though I didn’t take any pictures myself. The cottage is about 4 kilometers from Ooty bus stand, in a unique spot with picturesque views of Ooty. From my own experience, it’s the best place to stay in Ooty. I found it very affordable and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting.
