OYO 14267 Hotel Adarsh International

The hotel team and the Bollywood Adda staff made us feel well looked after, and the Tourism Package team helped make the trip enjoyable. The tempo driver and his co-driver gave us one of our best experiences in Ooty, so thank you to them as well. The property was excellent. Mr. Mani clearly explained the tourism details and gave us the information and help we needed. The pricing was reasonable and affordable. We had a wonderful stay and really appreciated the hospitality and support.

Being on the main road is a plus, but the hotel was unhygienic from the entrance onwards. The corridors and rooms smelled bad, the bathroom walls were stained, and the bedsheets, pillows, and mattress smelled as well. Ventilation was poor, and the property clearly isn’t maintained. I was charged 3k, twice the regular price. Staff weren’t supportive, and it wasn’t worth more than 500/-. It’s surprising that a Jain property is kept in such poor condition.

The room itself was in very poor condition: there was no TV or room-service phone, the beds were unhygienic, and water wasn’t available until after 7 a.m. or hot water until after 9 a.m. The electrical socket boards were worn, loose, and partly coming out of the wall, which felt unsafe. We paid ₹6,000 for one room with two beds during peak season. Similar and much better rooms were available nearby for ₹2,500. We were traveling with kids and in a hurry, and it felt like they took advantage of that. After checking the next street just minutes later, we found better accommodation for less. Local drivers strongly push this hotel, possibly because of tie-ups, and pressure guests to book before they can look around. I know keeping standards up in peak season can be difficult, but charging so much for substandard, unsafe facilities feels misleading and exploitative.

The rooms were ugly and overpriced, with cigarette butts all around and under the bed. There’s no telephone, the TV didn’t work, and power kept going out. Hot water was available only from 7:30 to 9 am. The staff were pretty rude.
