Hotel Shri Krishna

The owner was very rude when we said the room wasn’t worth ₹10,000 and should cost around ₹1,000 at most. We had visited Pachmarhi on 15th August and were looking for a hotel when we found Shri Krishna Hotel. The owner demanded ₹10,000 for one night and insisted we book two nights, otherwise he wouldn’t give us a room. We checked the room before booking and were shocked by its condition: the toilets were wet and unhygienic, the basin was cracked, the bedsheets and pillow covers had many stains, and there was no proper ventilation. I strongly suggest not staying here. The rooms were unhygienic and the service very poor.

The rooms are a mess once you reach the 1st-3rd floor, despite the polished lift and highly decorated ground floor, where there are no rooms. The walls have visible cracks, the bathroom fittings are held with nails, and even the commode is dirty. For the price, there are plenty of nearby hotels offering competitive rates. This feels more like a homestay without food, not even tea, than a hotel. The high rating seems like a scam. They may try to broker sightseeing deals, but don’t fall for it. The whole area has brokers and middlemen, and there isn’t a good restaurant nearby either. Not suggested at all.

The staff were so rude, and cleanliness was at 0%. After checking in, we found alcohol bottles and tobacco rappers in the rooms. There was also water leaking in the 2nd floor rooms. This hotel doesn’t deserve even one star.

It’s budget friendly, and both the rooms and service were awesome. There’s no restaurant or balcony, though. You can easily find a gypsy here for sightseeing and safari.
