Top Hill Cottage

Faizan Bhai is an excellent host, and caretaker Raina both did their best to make our stay memorable. The rooms were very neat and clean, with electric blankets, and the food tasted very good without being too spicy. My brother’s family and mine, four adults and four kids, travelled to Kashmir from 02-09 Nov 2024. We stayed at Top Hill Cottage on 05 Nov. and checked out on 06 Nov. 2024. I’d planned other hotels in advance, otherwise I would have stayed at least one more day. I recommend it, and next time I visit Pahalgam I’ll make sure to stay at least two nights. All the best to Faizan bhai for the future.

The room wasn’t properly cleaned when I checked in. The floor felt sticky, and there was a foul smell in the bathroom. I called the front desk, and someone came to clean, but the bathroom still wasn’t properly sanitized and dust was left on surfaces. For the price I paid, I expected much better. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone who cares about cleanliness. The owner’s rude, unprofessional behavior was the main reason for my disappointing experience. I was met with indifference on arrival, and when I politely asked for help with my booking, the response was condescending. Whenever I had a question or concern, the owner was dismissive and unhelpful, and made me feel unwelcome. It’s hard to believe someone so rude runs a hospitality business. I’ll never return, and strongly advise others to avoid this place if they value being treated with respect.

The rooms were nice and clean, and Faizan was overwhelmingly hospitable. Amazing place, a 10 out of 10 experience.

The whole family enjoyed the stay. The food was tasty, the rooms clean, and there’s an open garden inside. Good location.
