The staff were respectful and attentive to even the small details, and the service was excellent. The food was great, though a little expensive. It’s a peaceful area with easy access to central Goa: Miramar beach is walkable, the Mandovi river is nearby, Dona Paula is easy to reach, and temples and forts are about a 30-minute drive away. The rooms and in-room amenities were great, and I was very happy staying here.

It’s in a quiet neighbourhood close to Miramar beach, and the room itself was spacious. But the cleanliness was really poor: the floor, bed linen, sofa, and rug were all dirty. There was no hair dryer or ironing board in the room, though housekeeping can provide them if you ask. The food was below average.

Miramar beach is only a few minutes away on foot, and the property is very affordable. The rooms are spacious and well cared for, and the restaurant is good too. Check-in was excellent, with special thanks to Harish, Sioma, and Rakesh. My one reservation is the swimming pool. It lacks a good one, and the pool at the adjacent property was poorly maintained. Still, I’d highly recommend staying here for comfort.

The staff were quick to respond and very polite, and I had a comfortable stay. You’re right in the heart of Panjim, with Dona Paula 2-3 kms to the south and Mandovi 2-3 kms north. Old Goa is about 15 minutes away, and Dabolim about 30. The hotel has a gourmet restaurant called “Raia”; nearby, New Sheetal restaurant is a great affordable option for fresh, tasty food. The posh neighbourhood has its own perks and pros and cons.

Clean rooms, a great atmosphere, and such warm hospitality. The staff went out of their way to make the stay pleasant, and the service at Varanda Do Mar was impeccable.
