Hotel Republica

The location is the one good thing, with restaurants and a bus stop all within 1 km. I paid 2400 for one night and it felt like hell. The hotel is very old, and management doesn’t seem to care about renovating it. Bathroom tiles were broken, the washbasin was badly cracked, and the bedsheets and pillows were filthy. The rooms were so dirty it felt like they hadn’t been cleaned in years.

The room has a wardrobe, freezer, working AC and TV, hot water, and a spring mattress that was cozy. The toilet was clean, and the bed could fit three adults, with room for an extra mattress. The view from the hotel and the view of it are both good, and it stands tall above the ground. It’s easy to find from the main road, though parking is tight and the road in front is steep and narrow. The staff kindly changed the dirty bedsheet and pillows, though those should have been clean before check-in. There’s a restaurant beneath the rooms. At 2000, the price feels too high for the service and room; I’d say 1000 is fair.

The location in panaji is hard to beat, and the service was excellent 👌

The old Heritage structure has been maintained by the owner, and the location is good, but the rooms are only OK. Housekeeping falls short, and the bathrooms are in poor shape, with doors broken at the bottom. The TV and AC weren’t working, and the staff weren’t very friendly. There’s no free breakfast. I won’t book here again. The owner should improve the hotel's condition.
