Miramar Residency

The beachside location is the biggest plus, with beautiful tree-lined avenues for long walks. The property exterior and cottages look reasonably maintained, and there's plenty of car parking. Staff were courteous and helpful. With proper renovation and upkeep, GTDC could make this property work well. We stayed two nights in a standard room, and the inside was in extremely poor condition and clearly not maintained. The bathroom had visible stains, the old flimsy door was chipped at the corners, and the AC barely worked. The dustbin hadn't been emptied when we arrived, the elevator was unclean, and the linen and bath towels didn't seem fresh or properly washed. The official website photos are misleading and don't reflect the rooms' actual condition.

The location is good, but the building and rooms are in ruins. Some people say the property will be leased to Amit Shah's son for 99 years and is being deliberately neglected. They say it will soon be demolished.

I stayed here in 1996, when it was nicely kept. It’s now a ramshackle, dilapidated place that used to thrive. It's close to Miramar beach and has access to Panjim and Dona Paula, so it works as a cheap option. GTDC and the government need to make this premium property livable and maintain the lawns.

The rooms have a good atmosphere, and the beach is nice, though I think Goa has better beaches. Staff were average. You can go rafting at a reasonable price, and this place is worth a visit.
