Treebo Trend Siddhagiri

The two Mutton Thalis we ordered at Siddhagiri Hotel had Sukha Mutton, Pandra Rassa, and Lal Rassa, but the gravies were the letdown. Both rassas were so watery they tasted like flavored water, with hardly any richness or proper flavor. The Sukha Mutton was average too, and the Butter Chicken we added was nothing special. We came after seeing all the praise for the Mutton Thali, so the meal felt pretty underwhelming. I hope they improve the quality.

The food was fresh and tasty, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout. Our room was spacious, clean, and hygienic, and getting in and out was smooth. The hotel is also easy to reach. I had a really good stay and would recommend it.

The bhakri was thick, chewy, and kept breaking, and the chicken itself was only average, neither soft nor tasty. We tried both veg and non-veg chicken thalis for dinner, but the chicken portion had more bones than meat, so we had to order another plate and specifically ask for one without so many bones. The food was quite spicy, though that seemed understandable given local tastes. To me, this place is overhyped. I wouldn't come back.

I stop here for food whenever I'm heading to mahabaleshwar. It’s right at the start of the climb towards Panchgani, and the thalis are great. Try the famous ones, you’ll love them. This review is about the restaurant only, as I haven't stayed here.
