The shower geyser in the washroom didn’t work, and housekeeping wasn’t adequate. Laundry service was terrible too: despite several requests, they didn’t pick it up, and it took more than 48 hours to return clothes. There was no separate menu section for complimentary breakfast or lunch and dinner, and the menu didn’t clearly label vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, which caused confusion. When I ordered food, I was asked to pay because they said I’d exceeded my complimentary budget. Nobody had explained that limit when I ordered, even though complimentary meals were part of my package. After three days, I was also told drinking water was chargeable, with no prior notice.

The tea arrived later and had just the right balance of sugar, tea, and milk. We’d stopped for breakfast on our way along a long journey, taking the service road after the toll gate to reach the hotel. The chef prepared the alu paratha, bread toast, and masala Omlette really well, with top-class taste and presentation. It was a good stop for us. Thanks to the chef and the boys.
The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were polite and quick to respond when we needed anything. I found the location convenient for reaching nearby places. At Hotel OPS in West Bengal, our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with the basic amenities provided. It was a pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it for a short trip or a business visit.
Staff behavior was third-class, and there were unnecessary room charges. They also treated two people differently even though they were internally connected, charging different prices for the same room.
They charge ₹1,680 a day for a non-AC room, which is far too much. Even basic things cost extra: drinking water is ₹29 instead of ₹20. The hotel is large, but its prices are excessive and seem to take advantage of travelers from other states.
