Panvel Palace

The Chicken Lapeta was just okay, and I overheard the waiter telling another staff member to watch how I was eating it. Earlier, I'd ordered Schezwan chutney that looked stale, then Chicken Tikka that smelled bad and didn't seem fresh. When I told the waiter, he insisted the dish was good and refused to replace it. I've never had service or an attitude this poor before. That was definitely my last visit to Panvel Palace Hotel.

We found a fried cockroach while having dinner with family last night, 25th October 2025. The place felt extremely unhygienic, and it was a very bad experience. If I could give a negative rating, that would be my first choice. It's really unfortunate we ended up there, and I urge people not to visit if they care about their own and their loved ones' health. I'll raise this complaint with the food and restaurant authorities so it doesn't happen to another customer.

The manager asked what I expected from boiled egg buruji and said he'd make it right. He took the dish back and returned it within minutes, apparently after sautéing it in a pan. It was still bland and tasteless, nowhere near the recipe. Before that, what I'd been served looked like dried soup with tasteless onion and tomato and a side of boiled egg. I asked to cancel after seeing it, but they said cancellation wasn't possible and I'd have to consume whatever they served. The kitchen is terrible. The cooks seemed untrained and out of date, and apparently didn't know the recipes. The price doesn't match the food quality. So disappointing. I'd rather drink near a gatar than drink at that bar again. Don't visit. They should stop hiring staff with roadside stall experience.

We ordered butter chiken, but it tasted like sweet dal and had way too much color. There was no flavor, and even the salad they gave us smelled rotten. Not good.
