Hotel Golden Anchor Paradeep

The rooms are a decent size and comfortable enough for a short visit, but the bathrooms are poorly maintained and inconvenient to use, despite being large. The toilet and shower areas have an awkward layout and there’s little sense of design. The hotel itself is confusing to navigate, with narrow, claustrophobic corridors that connect oddly, perhaps because it was built in phases. A room window may face an internal corridor or even a trash yard, which really affects the feel of the stay. Reception was just okay, without much warmth or attention. Breakfast was disappointing for both choice and quality, about 2 out of 5, and room service was slow and unresponsive. I was also assigned smoking rooms without warning, and the smell was unbearable until I asked to move. The fire extinguishers are awkwardly placed in staircases and corridors, which raised questions for me about safety preparedness. At best, this was an average stay, and it doesn't feel worth the price without better hygiene, hospitality, and maintenance.
