Hotel Ashoka Residency

The rooms were clean, but checking in at 9 felt like walking into a haunted house, with reception set up in a garage. Then when I went out for a morning walk, the cleaning staff entered my room without telling or asking me. My clothes and wallets were left open on the bed. At reception, they argued that they use their key to clean rooms unless you explicitly tell them not to. That felt strange and uncomfortable for my privacy. I won't stay here again, even if I'm traveling alone.

I only stayed because someone else had booked it online, and it was a poor choice. The location is remote and very bad. For women, this place is a definite no, especially after 7 pm. The rooms, linen, and other things provided were all very bad. Don't go to this hotel.

The AC drips water, the floor tiles are slippery, and the washroom flush works only sometimes. The TV doesn't work either, and whenever the room is changed, there's always a message saying it needs a recharge. You have to make repeated requests to get service or even a towel. The staff aren't professional, and no amenities are provided until you push for them.

I attended a function here and had a good experience. It's a good budget hotel with cooperative staff. The rooms are roomy enough for 2-3 people, and the banquet hall can fit around 100-150 guests. The food needs work, especially the vegetarian dishes, which weren't up to the mark.
