We ended up staying for more than a month, and leaving felt like leaving home. The couple who run the place and their family were incredibly friendly, and their energetic kids made it feel even more welcoming. In the evenings, their eldest son sometimes played guitar and sang Pink Floyd, Beatles and other classic songs. The food was nothing like typical hotel food. It wasn't oily or drowned in spice, just made with a gentle spice mix and the right amount of oil. I'm really grateful for the comfort and family feeling they gave us. This is the best hotel I've stayed at so far, though it feels more like a home. I'd highly recommend it.

This place is in upper peling, about 5 hrs from baghdogra airport, and the road there is beautiful. The hosts have been running it for almost two decades. Its restaurant and rooms have a lovely mix of architecture, history and tradition, and it's in a quieter part of pelling. There are plenty of things to explore nearby, and they can arrange transport and a guide. You must try their local food and drink, which they make at home. Their cute son and daughter are both excellent artists. The son, tenzing, is great on guitar, and the daughter sings. If the son likes you, you might be lucky enough to hear him perform. For a luxurious stay with great service, plenty of space and that pure mountain feeling, just go for it. I can't put into words how great my time there was.

Great hospitality, and it's a child-friendly place. It'd be really helpful to have a bathroom wiper for use after showering. The floor gets very slippery, which can be a fall risk, especially for young children.

The rooftop view was the highlight of my stay at Pemaling Residency. Seeing Mount Kanchenjunga from up there was unforgettable. The staff were polite and helpful, and made the place feel welcoming. My room was excellent, comfortable and equipped with everything I needed. The food was delicious, with generous portions. I had a fantastic time and definitely hope to return to Pemaling Residency.
