Udaan Hotel Pine Crest

The hotel may be in an appealing location, but the staffing shortage and room facilities affected our stay considerably. We spent two nights here, and the service was disappointing. The restaurant seemed severely understaffed: orders took a long time, some menu dishes weren't available, and staff often couldn't deliver what had been promised. Room service was slow and inconsistent too. There’s no air conditioning or ceiling fan. Instead, the room has a small, noisy table fan that doesn't do much. When temperatures reach 30-35°C on warmer days, that made the room uncomfortable. Prospective guests should know about these limitations before booking.

There's an old age charm to Udaan Pine Crest. My room was smallish but cozy and well furnished. The restaurant has a great Kangchenjunga view on clear days, and it makes you feel lucky to be sitting there. The food selection isn't very elaborate, but it's enough to leave you feeling you've had a good meal.

The location was convenient, and the facilities were well maintained. I found the room comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, with a cozy feel, good amenities, and little details that showed care. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with smiles and offered help whenever we needed it. We left feeling refreshed and grateful. The stay exceeded our expectations, and we'd happily come back.

Dinner here was a pleasant surprise. I’d had a disappointing food experience earlier at Summit Namnang Courtyard & Spa in Gangtok, but the quality and taste at this hotel were genuinely good. The service was fast, and the staff were cooperative and polite. I stayed at Udaan Pine Crest Hotel from 27th March to 28th March in a premium view room. It was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and everything, including the bathroom, was clean. The welcome and service were excellent, and the stay felt worth the money. In my opinion, it deserves to be called a 4-star hotel. I’d strongly recommend staying here, and based on my experience, avoiding Summit hotels. You can 1000% choose this hotel.
