Udaan Olive Hotel & Spa Pelling

The restaurant is pure vegetarian, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and very good. The staff were incredibly friendly, and their hospitality was lovely. The rooms were clean and well maintained too. We had a pleasant stay at Udaan Olive Hotel in Pelling during our March vacation with my friend and her family. We also visited Gangtok and Lachung, where places weren't too crowded that time of year. The hotel sits a little inland, which keeps it calm and away from the bustle. It's a lovely spot for a quiet getaway, and I'd recommend it for the service and food. Just bear in mind there’s no lift, which matters if stairs or mobility are an issue.

The food was excellent and tasty, and the rooms were neat and clean. The hotel has a nice location and a Kanchanbanga view from the room. Staff were very kind and always happy to help. Ms.Isha was especially cooperative and gave us good guidance for further sightseeing. Thanks.

There were two good things: the kanchenjunga view was beautiful, and the staff provided excellent service. Thank you to all of them for that. But our two-night stay as a family of 5 was not good. How can a hotel go without electricity for a whole night? It was below 10 degrees, there was no geyser water, we couldn't charge our phones, and the electric kettle didn't work. The food was okay except for dessert, one of the most basic things I've seen. Dry laddoo? One day it was even worse. There's no lift, so be ready to walk up and down 4 to 5 floors of stairs. The room balconies were pathetic.

Madan and Tara made the trip unforgettable. They welcomed us with warm smiles and showed exceptional hospitality, while the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. At Udaan Hotels the rooms were cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. The views are stunning, and the whole experience was peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommended for Pelling.
