19 villa mira

We originally booked one night at 19 villa mira and ended up staying three. It cost us around 3k, though the rate may change by season. The junior suite was especially nice, and the whole property was clean and well maintained. Staff were polite and helpful, and even connected us with a scooty rental that delivered and picked up the vehicle at the hotel. The location makes it easy to walk to White Town's main attractions and the beach, though that beach is rocky and not suitable for swimming. Breakfast was simple but tasty. There's a lift and wheelchair access as well.

The traditional vegetarian breakfast was a real treat, with idly, puri, vada, chutneys, upma, sambhar, a sweet, and fruit. We were also just a couple of minutes from the beach. We stayed one night in two rooms at 19VillaMira, and loved how the clean rooms had the rustic character of an old house. It felt like being welcomed into someone's home. Uma Akka and Elango Anna looked after us so well and helped with every request. My parents were up early, and Elango Anne made them tea before breakfast. We'd love to return.

The staff are friendly and the service is excellent, and the location is hard to beat, close to both the market and beach. It's a converted villa, and the rooms are on the small side. Hot water was my one real issue: the geyser is so small that a proper bath felt more like a formality.

Neat, clean, and easy on the budget, with breakfast included and good. It's also in a prime spot, very close to the beaches.
