Hotel Dinn

The hotel’s rooms are nice and well maintained. Being close to the bus stop makes it easy to rent a bike and get around, but the bus horns can be noisy. I’d suggest choosing an AC room that faces the back to avoid that noise.

The hotel itself is very good, and being behind the bus stop is a big advantage. Families can book here, but the surrounding area is a bit rough, with lots of drunk people roaming around and sometimes standing in front of the hotel. Better to avoid going out at night.

This works for a budget trip if you just need a functional room with AC, Wi-Fi, and a washroom. The host was polite and cooperative, the AC worked well, and the washroom was spacious. Cleanliness and comfort aren’t its strong points: bedding and blankets aren’t changed, as other reviewers have mentioned. Amenities are limited to soap and towels, with no dental kits or other toiletries. I’d say it’s fine for basic needs, but not for families or people who care a lot about cleanliness and comfort.

Being within walking distance of the Pondicherry bus stand doesn’t help when there’s no water in the toilet. Basic needs weren’t met, and the service was very bad. Even one star feels too generous. I’d never stay here again or recommend it.
