We had a very nice experience, and the place gives you French and White Town vibes. The staff were friendly, helpful and cooperative, especially at reception and in the dining area. They played with my three-year-old daughter and kindly took care of her needs. The rooms were fine, though they could be maintained better, and breakfast didn't offer much variety. The bed was also very high, so there could be a risk of falling. Bougainville flowers in the outdoor dining area might make it even prettier.

We loved the food. Anamika paid close attention and made sure her recommendations suited what we wanted. The French and Italian dishes tasted authentic, and whoever was cooking worked magic. Every dish we ordered was a delight, a real feast for my taste buds. Lovely atmosphere too.

The food was a highlight, with a mix of South Indian, French and Creole influences. The Danish pastries were the best, and Gulnaaz and Pinky did a great job helping us during the stay and making sure we had a wonderful meal. The wooden interiors make for a timeless, indulgent space, especially for anyone who loves antiques. Le Dupleix brings together restored French colonial architecture and modern touches, keeping Pondicherry's heritage character while offering contemporary comfort and rustic luxury. The modern decor works alongside the historic feel, spanning what feels like the 7th century right through to 2026. Every corner shows careful restoration.

Even on a busy street, Le Duplex feels like a calm retreat. From the moment we arrived, everyone was smiling and welcoming, and the hospitality continued right through to our departure. The service was amazing, and Padmini made sure we had a wonderful stay.

We chose to sit outside and enjoy the live music, which made the meal feel extra special. The indoor and outdoor seating both add to the atmosphere. The soba noodle soup was pure comfort, with a lovely balance of flavors, and even its generous portion left us wishing for more. The confit de poulet took a while, but the staff explained it was being cooked fresh on induction. The wait was worth it: the bone-in chicken leg was tender, flavorful and cooked just right. Its sublime sauce brought everything together. A memorable dinner at Les Dupliex, with plenty of moments and flavors to savor.
