Waves Beach House

The house is nice and has a small pool, and the owner is very humble. But the caretaker is rude. At checkout he inspected everything like a police officer and picked at little things as reasons not to return the security deposit. He really spoils the mood and vibe.

There was no caretaker during our stay, and the rooms hadn’t been cleaned properly. Even fresh bedsheets were missing, which is unacceptable when we paid ₹26,500 for just two nights. Neither bathroom had handwash. The kitchen was advertised as functional, but there was no gas cylinder or stove, only an induction cooktop, and we couldn’t even tell whether it worked. The property fell short of even the minimum expectations. I’d tell others to save their time, money, and effort and look elsewhere.

The owner was good and we enjoyed the stay overall. Checkout was unpleasant, though. The caretaker arrived and examined the whole place like a crime scene, then counted the pillows, bed linens, and towels in front of us. That felt unprofessional.

We booked for two days, but there wasn’t a caretaker there on either day. The roof was covered in pigeon poop. They’d said all the cooking utensils would be available, but there wasn’t even a stove. They also gave us a ready-to-cook Idly breakfast packet that had expired. A pathetic experience.
