Kayaloram resort

The kids enjoyed the swimming pool, though I can’t say whether it was clean. Otherwise, we found our two-night family stay stressful. There’s nothing around the resort, and it’s too far from the main market. They don’t serve lunch or dinner, and with no nearby restaurants, you’re left to sort out meals yourself. Hospitality was poor, there were no toiletries, and each room gets just one towel. I wouldn’t book here if you want to enjoy your holiday.

A small, well-kept property with helpful, cooperative staff. It has a pool and boating on site. The price is reasonable, and it could suit a budget trip for a group of around 15-20 people.

The boat ride was the highlight for my child, who loved the beach. The neighborhood is peaceful, and the locals are helpful. Food felt homemade and was very good, and the cook clearly has a real knack for it. Our clean room had working AC, and at 2500 I found the room rate affordable. There were quite a few inconveniences. No drinking water was kept in the room, so we had to ask the cook each time for hot water. Water was scarce and needed to be requested twice a day. The room had no waste bin or basic toiletries such as soap, oil, powder, a comb, or toothpaste. The bathroom had one towel, which would be difficult for a family of more than three. Maybe more could be provided if asked, but I’m not sure. The dining area could use improvement. The pool didn’t seem safe or properly maintained, and I didn’t see anyone clean it during our two-day stay. There was no reception desk or front office staff that I could find, and housekeeping wasn’t helpful, which made communicating with the caretakers hard. The room TV also hadn’t been recharged, and I had to follow up twice. It’s okay for up to two people or a last-minute plan, but I wouldn’t call it family-friendly, especially with kids. Three stars from me.

Really relaxing stay, with clean rooms, welcoming staff, and beautiful views. The resort was better than I expected. I’d recommend it for a break and some time to recharge.
