Hotel De L'amour

The staff were courteous and professional, always ready to help with a smile, and the service was prompt. Food had plenty of variety and tasted great. Our room at Hotel DeLamour, Prothrapur, Port Blair was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with the amenities we needed. The hotel has a calm, welcoming feel and a convenient location. I felt valued as a guest, and the stay went beyond what I expected. I'd happily return and recommend it to anyone after comfort, quality, and great service.

Dinner was seriously tasty, and the restaurant team were kind and helpful all evening, though I regret that I've forgotten their names. Breakfast choices are somewhat limited, but what they serve is genuinely delicious. Jiya (manager ) was especially helpful and efficient in sorting out my tax invoice query, and the service really stood out. One small thought, complimentary dessert with dinner would finish the meal nicely.

The restaurant was the one bright spot, with some decent tasting food. The complimentary breakfast, though, only included aloo parota, and other choices cost extra. I booked through make my trip because the listing called this a 3 star hotel, but it didn't feel worth even 1 star. During my three nights in port blair, I kept regretting the booking. The bed wasn't maintained properly, doors creaked whenever opened or shut, and there was no reliable power backup. Every time the power went out, I had to ask someone to start the generator. At 2 am on my second night, the power failed. I waited 20 minutes, expecting the generator to come on, but it didn't. Since the phone didn't work without power, I went downstairs at 2:20 am to ask, and only then was it switched on. What's the point of running a hotel without basic power backup? We came to andaman for some peace and pleasant surroundings, but this stay cost me my peace. Think carefully before booking here. If you want a terrible experience, go ahead and book it.

We had a fantastic three day stay and would recommend the place. The food was nice, and the staff were polite and cooperative. We had a wonderful experience.
