Sand Heaven

Harsh helped me set up a small anniversary surprise for my sister and brother-in-law, who were staying here. I contacted the hotel from outside, and he coordinated everything nicely, arranging for a dessert to be placed in their room. They really liked the thoughtful gesture. Thanks again, Harsh, for the help and hospitality.

The problems continued after checkout. The hotel acknowledged the AC issue and said I’d get a refund, but it was never processed. When I followed up, my calls and messages went unanswered, and eventually I was blocked. I felt discouraged from pursuing the complaint, so I filed one with the consumer authorities. During the night, the AC in my room wasn't working properly, and I couldn't sleep comfortably. I told the staff, but it wasn't fixed in time. A technician was called late at night while I was trying to rest, and my sleep was disturbed for the whole night. My stay at Sand Haven Hotel, Port Blair was disappointing because the room problem wasn't resolved, the refund promise wasn't honoured, and customer support after checkout was poor. I’m sharing this so other travellers can make an informed decision.

The rooms were clean, with modern, fresh decor. Just keep in mind that the online photos make them look more open than they are, likely because of the wide-angle lenses. In reality, the rooms feel snug, with furniture close together. There's little space to spread out luggage, and large suitcases quickly take up most of the floor.

The breakfast was delicious, with lots of options to choose from. I stayed for four nights and had a great time. The place is right opposite the airport, but I didn't notice any noise. My room was very clean and well maintained. The two women at reception were lovely and helpful, and the housekeeping, room service, and other support staff were just as helpful. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
