The location is the strongest point at Sun Sea Resort, with nearby areas, transport, and attractions easy to reach. It’s a reasonably priced choice in Port Blair, and the staff are polite and helpful. Check-in and checkout went smoothly, and there’s someone at the front desk around the clock. Breakfast is included and decent for a short visit. The rooms are roomy but have an older feel. Some improvements to the lighting and fittings would help, and the AC works, though it can be a little noisy. With better maintenance and some renovation, the place could be much better.

We found Sun Sea Resort peaceful and good value for the money. The staff were warm, polite, and ready to help, and service was quick. The food was delicious, with a good variety. Our room was clean, spacious, and well cared for, which made it a comfortable place to rest after sightseeing. It’s also handy for getting into the city and to major tourist spots. I’d recommend it to families, couples, or groups visiting Port Blair.

The food is an attempt at North Indian cooking, but they’d be better off serving fresh local cuisine. The hotel itself feels like a relic, with dated rooms and decor.

I got food poisoning after eating here. I suspect the papad the waiter brought to my table, though I can’t be sure. He was smiling before serving it, then the smile disappeared, as if he realized something was wrong. I also suspect they could be cooking with expired oil or oil that’s been used too many times.
