Collection O 80428 Hotel Spring Brook

The whole place feels like a smoking zone, with smoke everywhere, like they've opened a hookah parlour on the premises. Room service is completely useless, and they give out used towels, as if the owner is trying to save money that way.

We had a bitter stay at Hotel Springbrook, Kalyani Nagar, Pune, despite booking 45 days ahead in November. I was traveling with two senior citizens, two kids and my spouse, and had hoped to make my mother-in-law's first flight trip pleasant. Don't let the Oyo or Google ratings fool you. On 26th Dec, after Zoomcar kept us waiting at the airport for an hour and a half and then cancelled without warning, we got there by Ola. I'd spoken to Manager Austin the day before and expected a room, but he was on leave. The staff left us waiting in the lobby from 3 pm to 7 pm, apparently expecting us to cancel. Year-end hotels elsewhere were full. The reception was run by room boys who were rude and had no idea about customer service. At one point, they told me to leave if I didn't want to wait. At 7:30 pm they gave us suites 402 and 404. Room 402 had no locks on the main or bathroom doors, so the two senior citizens had to pack their suitcases each day and leave them in 404. The faucet in 404 leaked and wasn't fixed despite repeated complaints. We got no room service or drinking water bottles for two days until we reminded staff. We were the only family there, while the other rooms were full of bachelors and spinsters mainly there to party. The hotel's standards felt very low, and there was alcohol and cigarette smell on every floor. The alternate room 203 also smelled and had no door locks. Oyo support executive Pritesh could only ask the manager to provide other rooms. Oyo couldn't relocate us to a nearby hotel because they said everything was occupied. A terrible experience.

The area around the hotel, the reception and the corridors were all extremely dirty. The room itself was dirty too, with damp linen that made me wonder if it had been reused without washing after checkout. The floor looked uncleaned, and the bathroom ceiling was in bad shape. There's not a single good point about this hotel, so don't trust the room photos online, they're a trap. I asked staff to empty the dustbin and leave it outside while I went to work. That night it was still there. I reminded them the next day, but it was still in the room that evening. All they'd done was move it to the other end of the corridor. When I asked again, one of them said behind my back, "Why are you making such a fuss about the dustbin, as if you have to sleep with it," and the group laughed. Whenever I came back from outside, at any time of day, they asked whether I had a booking, my room number, when I checked in and when I was checking out. I'm pretty sure the reception staff weren't sober all the time. The experience was so bad they don't deserve even one star.

I called the hostel to ask for information about our Oyo booking. The person on the phone was very rude, refused to provide any details and said they'd cancelled all bookings from Oyo and MMT. He told me to ask those platforms for my money, saying they knew about it. A terrible experience.
