Ashoka Royal Puri by Goroomgo

The location near the beach is fine, but the photos gave a misleading impression and the place didn’t meet expectations. At 1700 a night, it wasn’t worth it. The staff were unwelcoming, the floor was stained, and there were cobwebs on the windows. They cooked near our room and left their utensils outside it. The AC drain ran into the bathroom, and there was a big black hole in the toilet wall. You can ask for Rs 1000.

I booked through a site called goroomgo and paid the full amount online in advance. Once I arrived, I felt cheated. The room looked like a haunted house, as if it had been abandoned for ages, and I’ve never seen a hotel this dirty with such poor service. I asked the staff to clean it or give me another room, but the other rooms I saw were just the same. They wouldn’t refund me, so I left the money there and booked another hotel. If I could give zero or negative stars, I’d give this place the lowest rating. Please don’t stay here or book it. It’s only fit for dumping garbage.

We paid in advance under GOROOMGO's rules for another property, but they assigned us this third class hotel with fake information. The rooms were dirty, the bathroom doors were broken and held together with cello tape, and the bedsheets were filthy. Even basic facilities were missing. GOROOMGO is totally fraud. Worst experience ever.

The staff provided good service, and the rooms were spacious with good accommodation. The location is good too.
