Glory Puri by Goroomgo

There was no Wi-Fi or parking, and the staff were really rude. The hotel looked completely different from its online photos. Please don't stay here.

I booked online for 12.03.2025-15.03.2025, but when I arrived they refused to honor the booking and wouldn't even check it. I think they were taking offline bookings at higher prices because it was a busy period. Third-rate hotel with rude staff. Please don't book this place.

They kept calling us to pay for the stay, but our plans got cancelled, so I asked for a refund. I called repeatedly over two weeks and they never sent the money back. Now they don't answer my number, and after a few calls from other numbers, those got blocked too. I suspect the number listed on Google and their website belongs to GoroomGo, not the hotel itself. I believe GoroomGo has several hotels in Eastern India and its head office is in Kolkata. I consider this hotel a fraud, and would tell everyone not to book with them.

The bedsheets looked used and unwashed, and when I asked for fresh ones, the owner's wife said they couldn't provide any. After I kept asking, she brought sheets but told me to change them myself and treated me badly. The rooms themselves were clean, though. We'd booked two AC rooms for a family stay on 13.05.23. The owner said everything worked, and I made it clear that the TV needed to work for my son. The TVs came on, but there was no cable recharge. He said he was contacting the cable operator, but nothing changed by the time our one-day stay ended. The TVs also weren't Android, and we had our own mobile data. We stayed because we'd paid 75% already, it was 1.30 pm, and the day was hot. My family chose not to argue further since we were only there for a day, but the experience spoiled our break. I wouldn't recommend the place to friends.
