Brahma Heritage

The rooftop has a great mountain view, and the hotel is only about five minutes by auto from the lake and temple. Our room was okay, though the back window had no safety grill and made me uneasy until the attendant reassured me. The shower knob was broken, so I had to use a bucket and mug, and the bathroom could be more comfortable. The pool water smelled bad and didn't seem to have been filtered for a while. The kitchen was closed for construction, so I had to sort out my own food. Decent for a boys' trip, but a bit below average for a family or couple.

For this price, it's one of the nicest hotels I've found. I only stayed overnight, but the staff were very polite and helpful, and everything from the lobby to the rooms and washrooms was clean and well kept. The location is great too, less than a kilometer from the ghats and temple.

The building's inside and outside were kept up decently, but cleanliness was a problem in my room. The toilet hadn't been cleaned properly, and the buckets, mugs, and washroom taps were dirty. There were stains on the towels and bedsheets too. Food service and quality were both very poor. If you're hungry, think twice before staying here, I was disappointed.

They turn down online bookings, saying they're not registered. That felt very unprofessional, and as far as I can tell, they aren't registered as required by law.
