Risala is quiet enough for a peaceful stay but close enough that I can walk into the city in about 20 minutes. The owner has turned what was desert into a magical little oasis, with lots of trees and a large vegetable garden that supplies much of the kitchen food. I've stayed here in winter and was warm and cosy. The owner speaks perfect English, and he and Team Risala were so helpful. Every request I made was handled quickly. Inside my little bungalow, I didn't hear a sound from outside. I'm a light sleeper, and this was the most peaceful place I've stayed in across 14 visits to Pushkar. The whole resort has a very shanti feel. There are three dining areas, including one that serves non-veg. Because it's outside the Holy Ciry, alcohol and non-veg are allowed there, and there's also a veg-only cafe for vegans as well as meat eaters. The pool is good for cooling down on a hot day. Family houses have four double-bed spaces, handy for groups of friends or special occasions, and I believe they also host weddings. A little corner of heaven. I'll definitely come back.
