Jungle book

The river lane and the room were lovely, and the food was good too. What stood out most was the service. The owner was down to earth, and as two women travelling together, we felt safer staying here. The ambience was amazing.

The team were so friendly, and the resort itself is impressive, with Jungle Book-inspired sculptures dotted around the property. It feels like a lovely place to reconnect with nature. It's also really close to the national park entrance, which makes it a great base for a trip to the dudhsagar falls.

If you like adventure and don't mind roughing it, this is a nice place. It's clean, has air conditioning and western toilets, and there are elephants around. The rooms have tin/asbestos roofs, and there's no hot water. I could hear train engines during the night. The posted room rules say you can't check out before 8 am, so bear that in mind if you need to leave early. Dinner buffet was 250 per head. Bring cash, as the resort has no machines, and you'll need it to pay at checkout.

The staff were welcoming, and the adventure activities were exciting and fun. The resort's location is thoughtfully chosen and convenient for hikers visiting dudhsagar falls. I had one of my best trips here. The ambience is spectacular and the theme is unique, though you need to have the right mindset and taste to enjoy the place. The food was decent and basic. I'd definitely recommend staying at Jungle Book resort for at least one night for a different kind of experience.
