Hotel Amit Regency

The location wasn't great, but the room was just fine and the service was nice. The food and other prices, though, were way too high. A 600 ml Coca-Cola cost Rs 70 plus Rs 10 tax, even though the same bottle was Rs 30 outside. The menu says taxes are included, but they still charged extra. A coffee listed at 40 became 60 at checkout, with the extra Rs 20 described as tax. When we asked for a real bill, they wouldn't give one and made excuses. I have photos of the menu and the bill as proof.

The staff were rude, housekeeping was nonexistent, and both the rooms and bathrooms were dirty. The bedsheets hadn't been cleaned. At check-in they charged me another 1000 rupees even though I'd prepaid for the discounted room through OYO. When I objected, they said they wouldn't honor the OYO price, insisted I pay the full room cost, and refused to give me a bill, so I couldn't negotiate a refund with OYO. Avoid this place if you can. If you have no other option, get a bill or some online payment record to show the overcharge and claim it back from OYO.

I'd read the reviews too, but I had no choice and stayed one night. It was the worst night of my life. There was no hygiene, I was extremely uncomfortable, and I couldn't sleep because of the mosquitoes. Never go here, not even as a last resort.

They charged us extra at check-in. We paid 1400 rupees for two people and stayed two days, but no one brought towels or bedsheets. The room TV wasn't working, and they didn't provide RO water. There were lots of mosquitoes and water seepage by the bathroom. The food was tasteless and very poor. A very bad experience, I wouldn't recommend it.
