The response after I reported the damage and shared proof was disappointing. A rat got into my room at The Sky Imperial Aarivaa Luxury Boutique Homestay, Rajkot and completely ruined my original Adidas bag, worth ₹5,000. There were also too many mosquitoes, and the room itself was very dirty and poorly maintained. Calling it “Luxury” doesn’t fit when basic hygiene and guest safety are lacking. It felt unsafe and very unprofessional, and I’d urge travelers to think carefully before booking.

The room’s design and space were excellent, but poor maintenance and daily cleaning seem to be letting the original design down. We booked under the pets allowed category, then ran into confusion about whether pets were permitted at check-in. Management needs to sort that out.

Nice staff, and the location near the race course was perfect. We had an amazing stay.

We arrived just before 9pm after a long drive and found out the room had been given to someone else because no advance payment had been made. Nobody had told us the booking would be cancelled, and the customer service team had no alternative or other solution to offer. We were left stranded that evening, which made for a really bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’d booked two nights through Booking.com at short notice on the day we were due to arrive, around 5pm. Customer service emailed asking for payment in advance. I explained that my international bank account wouldn’t let me make an online transfer and asked if I could pay by physical card when checking in. Later, someone called to ask for advance payment again. I explained the problem, said we’d arrive around 8pm, and asked if reception had a card machine. He said yes. When I said nobody else could pay for me, he ended the call. At reception, we explained what had happened. The staff member called the person who’d asked for payment, who then claimed he had warned me the booking would be cancelled without payment. If I’d known that and couldn’t pay in advance, I’d have booked another hotel instead of driving there expecting to check in.
