Hotel Tamilnadu - Rameswaram

The manager is very cooperative and can communicate in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. The staff are humble and attentive too. Agnitheertham, the 22 wells, and the Darshan entrance are all very close. I’d highly recommend this place for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

The staff are very supportive. There’s no car park at the building, but they arrange parking at a private space about a five-minute walk away. They also help with parking and carrying luggage to the rooms. There’s no lift. Agni Teertham is very close, and the temple is walkable, with shortcuts available. The room and bathroom were okay, though the bathroom could be cleaner and the AC and TV units need proper maintenance. The AC in one of our rooms was very noisy and dripped water.

The one good thing is that the temple is within walking distance. You can’t drive right up to the hotel, so you have to stop about 100 meters away. There’s no parking at the hotel either, though they do arrange a spot farther off. The rooms were awful, dusty, and smelled bad. The blankets weren’t properly washed, and the service was terrible. The staff didn’t even provide towels. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t go to this hotel.

The staff made us feel welcome from check-in onward. Everyone, from the front desk to housekeeping, was polite, professional, and caring. They were ready to help with requests or local recommendations, and handled everything with a smile. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. The bed was plush, the bathroom felt modern and fresh, and the little details were taken care of. Great people and a lovely room made this feel like a home away from home. I’d gladly return and can’t recommend it enough.
