Mandeva Wooden castle

I spent the past week working from Mandeva Hotel, and it turned out to be a comfortable WFH spot. The surroundings felt safe and peaceful, a welcome break from Delhi. There are different room options; I chose the bay window room, with a lovely hill view. We also visited a nearby waterfall, which was a great addition to the trip. The staff were humble, polite, helpful, and provided really good service.

The beautiful view and relaxing feel made our holiday at Mandeva Hotel so enjoyable. I loved everything about the place. The food was absolutely delicious too, special thanks to Chandan Bhai for the incredible meals. A real 10/10. Highly recommended for a lovely getaway.

I spent New Year here and found it a lovely place to pause and recharge, away from the tourist crowds. I enjoyed birdwatching, the sunset, and peaceful trekking among the mountains and pine and oak forests. Rohit, the host, was always on his toes, and Chef Chandan made meals to suit our preferences. I’d recommend staying here if you want a quiet break and authentic pahadi food. This is real mountain beauty.

We drove from Delhi in about 6-7 hours, and Mandeva Wooden Castle made for a great weekend escape. We stayed with friends in the Family Suite, which was spacious, aesthetic, and beautifully designed. The pahadi food was delicious and felt homemade, and host Nitin and the staff were very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. The morning views were a treat: distant Himalayas, birds calling, and greenery all around. It’s near Ranikhet and close to Binsar, about 50 km from Jim Corbett. A peaceful mountain stay worth considering.
