Hotel Topaz

There's room service, and transportation is easy to find. The hotel is centrally located, a walk from Ratlam railway station, and has an attached restaurant serving veg and non-veg food from 10 am to 11pm. The restaurant is comfortable.

When I arrived in Ratlam, M.P at 5:30am, I waited more than 40 minutes and eventually got frustrated and cancelled the booking myself. I went and stayed at another ordinary hotel. I had booked this hotel through GOIBIBO and was prepared to pay 30% extra for an early check-in, as listed on OYO. But they said they wouldn't accept GOIBIBO bookings because GOIBIBO gives customers huge discounts, which they considered unacceptable. I called GOIBIBO, and they contacted the OYO manager in customer care. The manager called reception, which is run by the owner, who wasn't at the hotel. During the wait, OYO called reception twice, and the owner told the receptionist not to let me stay because I had booked through GOIBIBO. The booking amount shown on GOIBIBO and OYO, where I also have an account, was almost the same, and I pointed this out to the receptionist.

The owner refused to provide a room for online bookings through GOIBIBO, OYO, MAKEMYTRIP, or TRIVAGO, and charges double for booking offline. Also, none of the rooms have ventilation. Smokers, avoid this place.

The rooms were dirty, with hair all over the blanket and a very bad smell from the dirty pillow. The owner was arrogant and didn't know how to talk to customers, and the service was poor. The entry gate says checkout is 11:00 AM, but he told customers who booked by phone that it was 9:00 AM. This hotel is pathetic and not recommended at all.
