Nakshatra Beach Resort

You get stunning Arabian Sea views from the cottage, and the sunset from the balcony is lovely. There’s a restaurant and bar; the bartender made us excellent mocktails and superb cocktails. The food was good, and buffet breakfast was included. Ganpatipule is one of my all-time favourite places on earth, and this resort has some of the best views among the resorts there. It’s a must-visit for the setting. We did have a difficult interaction with reception staff member Mr. Sudarshan Kumar. When we arrived, housekeeping was busy, so he showed us the cottages. He stayed outside while we looked around and didn’t explain the amenities inside. He first showed us Cottage Solitaire 6, then later declined to allot it and gave us Solitaire 5 instead. We’re unsure why it changed. His initial manner felt rude and unnecessarily full of attitude, and we found him hard to deal with.

The food deserves 5 stars: its taste and quality were excellent. Order handling and service timing could be better, though. Staff sometimes rushed through orders without fully listening, and coordination across the team needs work. At times it seemed Mr. Kumar was the only one focused on guest satisfaction, while some others were more concerned with finishing tasks quickly. Better teamwork and planning would help. We stayed with family, and our 4-year-old was given a mattress for ₹500 per night. Since this is a family-friendly resort, I think essentials for small children should be complimentary. The bathroom could also use a more modern, stylish upgrade. The property is well maintained and has a beautiful view. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were supportive. Special mention to GM Mr. Vinod Kumar, who spoke with guests personally and made sure they were comfortable. We had a good experience overall, with room for improvement and real potential to become an excellent resort.

We left feeling the stay was a terrible waste of money, and wouldn’t recommend the place. The pool chlorine was so bad that the colour of my clothes and my friend’s clothes faded and changed. At the restaurant, they took orders confidently, served only part of them, then denied the rest without a proper explanation. Items that never arrived were still on the final bill. When we complained, staff showed no accountability or willingness to correct it. Completely unprofessional. Even though we arrived late, our rooms weren’t ready. It felt like poor management and no coordination from the start. If you only want a property that looks good in pictures, book it, but anyone expecting honest service and basic hospitality will be seriously disappointed. Rating: 0/10.

The calm surroundings and easy access to the beach made this a lovely place to unwind near Ganpatipule/Aravare beach. Onest Nakshatra Resort is peaceful and well maintained, with clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. The staff were polite, attentive and helpful, which made the stay even nicer. I’d recommend it to families, couples, or anyone after a quiet beachside break. I’ll definitely come back. Special thanks to sudarshan kumar.
