OYO 24987 Zaina

The rooms, staff behavior, location and service were all best. Thanks to the owner of zaina hotel. The best hotel in Roorkee.

The hotel is about 100 m or less from the roorkee station, with an E rickshaw always available outside. There are food, grocery and medical stores beside the guest house and across the road. I felt safe because no one can enter your room when you're not there, but took off a point for the lack of cleanliness. You have to get the management to do their part and clean your room.

The manager had me waiting for over half an hour because he thought I'd booked at a cheap rate. I had to call customer care, and she resolved it, but it still took time. After I checked in, they hadn't provided soap, shampoo or anything, and when I called, he took another half an hour to come. The room was dirty, the bedsheet smelled and had dirty patches, and there were long hairs on the pillow. The shower didn't work, the wash basin was broken, and the WiFi wasn't working. He promised to fix it but never responded. He had no manners with customers and I had to call for everything. The only time he called was to ask if I'd paid. He didn't even switch on the fan while I was waiting or provide water until I called twice. It was especially frustrating coming all the way from chennai to roorkee. Worst OYO 24987 zaina I've ever experienced. I don't recommend this oyo.

I booked this place because it's right outside the Roorkee Railway Station and I had an early train, but the person at reception refused me check-in at 1 in the night because the room was booked through OYO. He demanded direct cash payment. I didn't have cash and was ready to pay on the OYO app, but he refused and literally pushed me out of the lodge. Luckily I found another OYO next door. They also wanted payment directly to the hotel, but at least accepted Paytm and Card. The worst part is that I complained to OYO on their app right then, and nobody responded even after 3 days.
