OYO 49034 Hotel Grand Resort

One of my worst OYO stays. The room was full of bugs and mites, and the washroom amenities were broken and unusable. Staff were irresponsible, unresponsive, and kept giving shifting explanations about breakfast. They said it would be ready at 7:30, then at 7:45 told me staff would come at 8:00 and it would be ready by 8:15. Dinner and breakfast were delayed so much that it felt intentional, as if they wanted guests to skip meals and save money.

The wedding garden was the only part that was even okay. The rest was ridiculous: the resort was dirty, the food was very bad, and there was no cleanliness. Bathrooms didn't have running water 24/7, and neither the geysers nor the jets worked. Staff were rude and did nothing after several complaints.

I booked a room through OYO on 23 Jan around 8 pm, when the listing showed rooms available. I arrived with my family at about 11 pm, but the manager refused to give us a room, saying none were available. I asked why the OYO listing still showed availability and said they should manage their dashboard. It was completely unprofessional. At 11 pm, my family and I were left on the road looking for another hotel. They don't understand responsibility or hospitality.

During the wedding, they kept cutting power to the guest rooms and switched off the decorative lights, including the jhumar. Only the halogens stayed on, even while the wedding was underway. They didn't care or listen. Staff weren't available, and everyone kept sending us to somebody else, saying it wasn't their duty. The caterers' boys were no help either. We cut the cake on stage and told them to distribute it, but then it disappeared and nobody knew where it had gone. Even while we were eating dinner, staff kept watching and started taking plates away before we'd finished. My honest advice is don't book there. If you really have to, get every arrangement and its timing in writing, and ask for several responsible contacts, with their phone numbers and roles.
