Hotel Jeevak by OYO Rooms

This OYO stay felt unsafe and unprofessional. We were travelling from Jaipur to Dharamshala and had booked two rooms for the night at hotel Jeevak. We reached at 11:30 pm, but the reception door was shut and nobody answered our calls until 1 pm, despite the room confirmation and our check-in time having been shared with OYO hours earlier. After we called customer care and the helpline at 1 pm, a man came to open the door. A woman and another man rushed out right then. We didn't know who they were and never saw them nearby afterward. The receptionist said only one room was available because we were late, and had given the other room to his friends, who I hope were the people who rushed out. He was rude and said, “OYO Rs 2000 wala hain na, ek room main aap 4 lok adjust karlo, ek ki room available hain.” We managed to find another hotel in Chandigarh city by 3 am.

The rooms were okay, but very cramped. I booked through OYO, then the hotel manager demanded extra money, saying OYO only pays them after a year. I paid one extra day's rent in cash and complained to OYO about it.

The owner has a dispute with Oyo and said they wouldn't let a guest into the room if I had paid for the booking. They also charged me 600 rs for just a two-hour extension, even though the room had no booking.

This was highly unprofessional. I started out in room 202, but it had bed bugs, so I couldn't sleep that night. The next day, I left my luggage in the sunlight before putting it in the car.
