Saligao farm cottage

Thursdays are the night to come for English music and a decent crowd. One of the best nights out there...

The snacks needed topping up, and we had to keep reminding the staff. Then the buffet food ran out, with the owner saying he “did not expect the crowd.” That was a pretty lame excuse. We went on Thursday evening for the live music and buffet. Frankie & Larina were playing, and their music was fairly good, but switching back and forth between English and Konkani songs threw off the rhythm for people dancing. The evening was only a fair experience at best.

If you prefer peace and nature to crowds and parties, this place is a good fit. I felt at home during my stay, and Mr. Austin was warm and kind. He arranged a bike taxi for my travel, which I won't forget, and was a good guide for someone new to Goa. The services matched what I needed and were extraordinary too. Thank you, Mr. Austin and team, for being such lovely hosts and making my time there memorable. Goodbye until we meet again.

Austin, the owner, is super cool 😎, and the rustic atmosphere blends nicely with nature. It's a very cheap, laid-back place to party, with the best food and drinks at an unbelievable price. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants calm and serenity.
