Lakeside Boheme Inn

There’s a pool, it’s pet friendly, and in waterfall season you can even see a lovely waterfall. We went with friends for a weekend and had such a great time. They have tents, villas, and rooms to suit different moods, plus a beautiful lake and things to do like paddle boarding. The hospitality was top notch, and there’s a broad choice of food for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. If you’re around Mumbai or Pune and want nature, good food, and bohemian vibes, this is a great peaceful escape. Bring your furry family members along too!

The live music in the evening was one of the few bright spots, and Ruby, the gentle dog, was so affectionate with visitors. The nature trail was disappointing: it was just a 10-minute walk into nearby jungle that didn’t really lead anywhere, despite the package describing a trail. The pictures looked promising, but our tent glamping stay was very different. Its AC barely worked, and there was a live rat inside the AC unit. We left the tent straight away. Management quickly arranged another room, but first tried to persuade us back into the tent, saying the rat had been taken care of. The tents and rooms are both quite basic for the price, and the food was only average, so we’d rather eat elsewhere for better variety and quality. The birds were kept in cages that weren’t maintained, which was concerning.

The villa at Lakeside Bohe me in Khopoli sits right beside the lake, and the morning view is beautiful. It’s quiet and relaxing, a nice change from the city. The villa felt both cozy and luxurious, with lovely decor, and the staff were very sweet. The food was tasty too. A great weekend getaway.

Being surrounded by nature made for a really peaceful escape, and the heartfelt hospitality made the stay even more memorable. The food was delicious and the setting was stunning. It’s pet friendly too, which makes it especially nice if you’re travelling with furry friends. A hidden gem worth the time.
