Mohili Meadows Resort

The one thing we really enjoyed was the home-cooked food from Mr Patil. It arrived on time, the plates were arranged nicely, and there was plenty. We stayed for two days and kept the company informed about the problems, with images attached as proof, but the overall experience was extremely unsafe, unhygienic, and uncomfortable. I strongly recommend avoiding Sunflower Duplex and any property in Mohili Meadows CHS, Karjat. The most alarming incident happened late at night, when a group of drunk boys trespassed, jumped into the pool, shouted, and disturbed everyone. It felt especially unsafe with women and a child in our group. We called the caretaker three times, but he was slow to deal with it. The pool itself only has a weak wire fence, has no sign saying it is private property, and can be accessed by strangers. The bungalow and park area were overgrown and unmowed, with tall grass that felt unsafe for children. There was no proper drainage or seepage system, and the approach road was poorly maintained and unlit, making it inconvenient to walk there. Many nearby bungalows were in ruins, adding to the abandoned and unsafe feeling. Inside, the place was in terrible condition. The walls were damp and had seepage and fungus, with a foul, unhealthy smell. There was algae and insects everywhere, and the washrooms were unhygienic and badly maintained. The whole property felt neglected from the start. The caretaker repeatedly came in without permission to clean or do other chores, and once entered without knocking. That showed no basic manners and was particularly concerning given our group. The WiFi was poorly set up, with weak connection in the upper room. The AC remotes were locked so we couldn’t adjust the settings to suit the weather. Ludo and chess boxes were damaged and missing pieces.

The rooms could be more convenient, especially the furniture and washroom, even though they were maintained well. With some improvements there, this place would be hard for other resorts to beat. We had a lovely two-day family break. The resort looked serene, the weather was cool, the surroundings were tidy, and the pool looked attractive at night. The DJ was great too. Best of all, every staff member, from the kitchen and serving teams to reception and room service, was humble, cooperative, and wonderful. Thanks for a beautiful weekend with lovely gardens and divine nature. I’m looking forward to the restaurant that’s being prepared for visitors, and its tasty food and desserts. The food and the staff were the highlights for us. Meals were home-style, served in a family setting, and tasted really good. The staff were helpful and polite. There’s no restaurant on site, so don’t expect things like dosa, pizza, or pasta. We came as a group of seven adults and four kids. The resort is peaceful and not too crowded, which gave us some good time together. The grounds are huge, but only the area around the main pool is maintained. The pool is a decent size, though the baby pool and part of the main pool are slippery and could cause a bad fall, so take care. Rooms are spacious but poorly maintained, and the bathrooms need attention soon. Some adventure activities are available through an outside vendor who brings a team when called. We enjoyed them, and there was something for people across the age groups.

There’s a large gated locality you can find on the map, though the resort itself uses only a limited area. It has duplex-style buildings, and there are also many unfinished duplex constructions around the locality. The rooms are okay apart from the cabinets and cupboards. They have several facilities, including AC and TV, and every room has a bathtub. Food was okay, the dining area is shared, and the swimming pool is nice and big. All in all, an okay experience.
