U Rivergate Resort & Spa, Karjat

Important: staff seemed limited, and we waited hours for water bottles and luggage pickup. Food was also very expensive, almost like they were looting us. We lost 30k in what seemed like some kind of cyber fraud using the resort's name, and the resort charged us 10k per night. Be very cautious before booking. The property itself was peaceful and beautifully maintained, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The dining was excellent, with delicious food, good variety, and prompt service. Mr. Jagdish Ovhal was attentive and welcoming during our meals. It was otherwise a refreshing and enjoyable stay at U Rivergate Resort.

The dinner was delicious, with balanced flavors and spot-on presentation. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including fresh fruit, pastries, hot dishes, made-to-order options, freshly brewed coffee, and local dishes. Restaurant service was excellent, and the waitstaff were friendly and knew the menu. I would have liked more variety at dinner. At U Rivergate, the room was spotless and comfortable, with a cosy bed, spacious bathroom, mini fridge, coffee machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and good-quality toiletries. The hotel was relaxing and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I had a very positive stay and would recommend it for a comfortable visit, good food, business, or a relaxing weekend.

We tried zip-line, rifle shooting, and archery. Each activity cost Rs-500++, and they were good experiences. The resort covers a large area, so there's a buggy ride for pickups and drop-offs. The riverside was pleasant, and the setting was nice for groups, families, or couples. At Dock restaurant, the food was amazing, with good taste and portions. We had beetroot kebab, chicken tikka, cheese naan, masale bhat, shanghai paneer, Garlic bread, and cheese chilli toast. Each dish averaged around Rs-500. The breakfast buffet was decent, and Nishant the waiter served us decently. The pool wasn't well maintained, with dirt and dead flies in it. Reception service was very poor, and there was no valet. Wi-Fi didn't work in our room. They worked on it for two hours without fixing it, and I eventually had to keep after them to get a room change. Overall, a decent experience, 3/5.
