After my hotel booking was cancelled at the last minute by the hotel, I was on the road trying to find somewhere safe and affordable. I spoke with the owner of Aakriti Homestay, who reassured me it was the best option. The rooms were good. The place is a little off the main area, but that didn't bother me much. The owner's support throughout really made the stay.

It was peaceful there, and the atmosphere felt especially nice for couples. The staff and caretaker were all welcoming and very polite. I loved staying here.

A quiet place with clean rooms and very helpful, polite staff. The room rates were easy on the budget, which was a welcome bonus during our Varanasi trip.

We travelled 1200km for Dev Deepwali, expecting the boat and VIP darshan we had been assured were arranged. I kept asking for confirmation right up to the last moment and was told everything was set. After reaching Varanasi, we travelled another 15km from the station to this homestay, which is far from the ghat. When we arrived, they said our rooms were ready, but when I asked about the boat, they brushed off the situation and told us to take our money back and go wherever we could find something at that rate. If you agree to arrange something, you should follow through. This was a terrible last minute experience and it spoiled our day. Book somewhere nearby, or you may end up in the same situation.

The owner was really helpful, and arranged Darshan very simply. The rooms were nice too, and home cooked food was available.
