The restaurant staff were excellent and welcoming, and after long safari days the Indian buffet was tasty. There’s also a small textile shop with better prices than in the village. The hotel has a pleasant entrance, green areas, and a comfortable lobby lounge. Rooms are spacious, with high ceilings and traditional paintings, though the décor is eclectic, with tiger wallpaper and leopard-print carpets. The location is convenient for safaris, about 10 minutes from the Ranthambore core zones, but the surroundings outside the hotel aren’t attractive. January mornings and nights are cold, around 8°C. The hotel provided a heater, though the bathroom stayed cold and the shower water was only warm. Wi-Fi didn’t work during our stay. Morning safaris are very cold too, so bring warm clothes. The hotel provides blankets, and taking two helps. Good value overall, especially for the service and safari location.

The staff can arrange a Tiger Safari if you need one, and you can also look at planets up close through the telescope they provide. Stargazing is magical when the sky is clear and the stars are out. The Hotel staff help you use the powerful lens. On our family holiday, we visited Ranthambore Heritage Haveli, a peaceful place set slightly off the main road. It combines culture with modern amenities and has a great hospital staff. I’d recommend a visit with family and friends. It’s relaxing and peaceful, and I hope you enjoy your time there.

Our stay at the Heritage haveli was good, and the room was spacious and neatly maintained. The location is close to the national park safari zones, and the outside seating and food were good during our visit. The 24-hour automated got water was a blessing in the cold weather. Complimentary breakfast was good, though it could be better for the quoted price. Booking.Com listed the extra bed at 1500, but we were charged 2000, which felt expensive compared with other hotels that offer it for much less.

The dining hall staff were fantastic and did their best to handle any request. Dinner had a nice buffet selection and was very tasty. The hotel is in a quiet spot, though the bumpy roads make it hard to reach. Front desk staff weren’t helpful or cooperative, and the Wi-Fi connection wasn’t reliable.

The resort itself feels like a palace, with haveli-style rooms, a large pool, a roomy bar, a dining hall for over 50 people, and even a stocked souvenir shop. Our room was spacious and well equipped, and the bathroom was huge with fresh linen and the usual amenities. The food was tasty, though on the expensive side, and the staff were kind. Lucky looked after us from morning tea through dinner and remembered what we liked. There are cottages behind the main resort too. In the evenings, they sometimes put on cultural shows, and there’s a lawn telescope for about 30 minutes of stargazing at ₹500 per person. Safari bookings can be arranged for an extra charge, and the safari gate is about 2 km away. The resort is tucked into a remote corner of Ranthambore, with plenty of secure parking. We also visited the Ghariyal sanctuary, 49 km away on the Chambal river, and enjoyed it. A few things could be better: the TV is too small for the room, there are few sports or English news channels, hot water takes a while to arrive, and the pillows are too thick. Keep the door shut, as a monkey came into our room when it was left open and took some tea and coffee condiments, though it didn’t hurt us. The main drawback is the 1.5 km dirt approach road, which becomes unusable in rain. The gypsy will only come to the resort if you book the whole vehicle. Still, it was a comfortable and lovely base for a Ranthambore safari.
